QFK Illinois Chapter Sponsored Expo Charity for Second Year
Again this year Chicago's Original Sewing & Quilt Expo will be sponsoring QFK Illinois Chapter as the Expo's charity. The event will be held March 22 - 24 at the Schaumburg Convention Center in the Reniansance Hotel. Our booth space provided by the Expo's producers will include electricity and tables. Linda Zs will be providing three Pfaff Select 3.0 sewing machines and Pfaff Grand Quilter mid-arm quilting machine for use during the show. Deb's Quilterywill provide: professional quilting services, Pellon cotton batting, and Supeior thread for all quilts created during the Expo. The booth will also have cutting and pressing stations.
The booth will allow sewers/quilters attending the Expo to stop by and work on quilts for as long as they desire. Our goal for the three-day event is 30 quilts, last year we completed 18. The quilts will be donated to Chicago Children's Memorial Hospital oncology unit.
If you are interested in volunteering to work as a Show Ambassador please click here for more information. You can get free show admission and earn free classes.
We are hopeful that the expsoure from this year's Original Sewing & Quilt Expo will help QFK Illinois Chapter meet our monthly goal of 50 quilts.
