Have you made quilts for Quilts for Kids Illinois Chapter in the past?
Have you made quilts before?
We are now having to charge for shipping your kit!
There isno charge for the kit. The cost of shipping your kit ($5.00) must be paid before your kit will be shipped. Please make your check payable to Quilts for Kids Illinois Chapter, Inc. and mail to: PO Box 8211, Romeoville, IL 60446. Your check will not be deposited until your kit is shipped.
For every quilt kit we send you, we request you send one or more additional quillts from your own fabric stash (brightly colored, kid friendly prints) so we can at least double the number of seriously ill children who will recieve quilts. After completing and returning your first kit (two quilts) you may request we send future kits two or three in one shipment. Each quilt you send, after your kit quilt, qualifies as a donation and is tax deductible in the amount of $100.00 per quilt. A receipt for additional quilts will be sent upon request.
Quilts must be machine pieced and machine quilted. Hand quilting or tied quilts cannot be accepted. You will need to supply the batting (low loft, 1/8"-1/4", poly, cotton or poly/cotton blend) and thread for the quilt. It is expected that the kit quilt and your second quilt will be completed and returned within eight weeks of kit arrival. If you do not feel you can complete both quilts within this time frame please wait and order a kit at a later date. You must pay the cost to ship the quilts back to us or use one of our drop off locations (see below). If you are donating several quilts and are located in the Chicagoland area we will arrange to pick up the quilts from you to save shipping costs, please call or email for more details.
Instructions, pattern and official labels are also included in the kit.
